UC Irvine Division of Continuing Education international students are required to have health insurance. Students are automatically enrolled in UC Irvine DCE’s medical plan and billed the quarterly health insurance fee, unless the student submits a waiver to opt out of the plan.

The UC Irvine health Insurance provider is Anthem Blue Cross. To create a member account and access your insurance ID card from your computer visit the Anthem Website at www.anthem.com/ca/register.
Students can also contact JCB/Gallagher Insurance Solutions at 866-978-7578 or studentservices@jcbins.com with questions about their plan, verification of enrollment, and how to use their insurance.
Please be aware that our school's health insurance plan includes a deductible and copay, which are expenses that must be covered by the students. The UC Irvine health insurance plan requires a $100 deductible for in-network doctor visits and a $200 deductible for out-of-network doctor visits per Policy Year. This signifies that students are responsible for paying the initial $100 or $200 annually. However, if a student visits the UC Irvine Student Health Center, the deductible can be reimbursed to the student.

The plan covers medical services (sickness, injuries, etc.), preventative care (vaccinations, physical exams, certain tests and screenings), medication, psychiatry and more.

Claims
If you are required to pay for services up front, you can get reimbursed by submitting a claim on the Sydney Health Mobile App. Complete the claim information with your proof of payment and itemized receipt. For help, contact healthandwellness@ce.uci.edu.
