The UCI Disability Services Center (DSC) provides services and accommodations to students with disabilities with documentation. Registering is the first step towards getting accommodation services. First, complete the online DSC Intake form. A UCInetID is required to access the online form. Please contact Mike Sciarappa at healthandwellness@ce.uci.edu or (949) 824-6872 for assistance with obtaining a UCInetID and connecting with the DSC.
After completing the online intake form, the student will be contacted by the DSC to schedule an appointment with a DSC counselor. Please be prepared to provide documentation to the DSC counselor. Please contact the UCI Disability Services Center at dsc@uci.edu or (949) 824-7494 or TDD (949) 824-6272 with any questions about documentation requirements.
Students who need accommodations such as American Sign Language interpreting, real-time captioning, video captioning, taped textbooks, and adaptive computing technology must submit documentation and class information to the DSC as soon as possible, since these accommodations may require up to 4-8 weeks of preparation time. Failure to do so may delay or in some cases preclude provision of certain accommodations. Enrollees or prospective students should contact DSC for further information about documentation requirements, procedures, services, and accommodations.
More information and resources can also be found on the DSC’s website.
