Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act Can Fund Your UCI Division of Continuing Education Program
Displaced or disadvantaged workers may be eligible for financial assistance through the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) to enroll in approved UCI Division of Continuing Education (DCE) Certificate Programs. For students who qualify through their local California Employment Development Department office, the funds may be applied toward the cost of UCI DCE fees, required books and materials for these certificate programs. Out-of-pocket expenses, if any, are determined on a case by case basis by UCI DCE and each partner.
WIOA funds only cover the minimum number of required units to complete the specific program for which you are approved.

One Stop Center
California Employment Development Department’s workforce development partners form a statewide collaborative network to address the skill development needs of the California workforce. The partners include the California Workforce Investment Board (CWIB), Local Workforce Investment Areas, community-based organizations, educators, state and local government agencies, and training providers. If you are interested in attending UCI Division of Continuing Education using this funding, you must contact your local WIOA One Stop Center in your area to determine your eligibility and receive authorization to attend. To locate your local One Stop Career Center, visit California One Stop Career Center and select your county from the menu on the left.
The WIOA is a workforce development legislation that provides funding to address the employment and training needs of eligible professionals and dislocated workers through local One-Stop Centers.
The WIOA Title I financial assistance program and activities are an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
UCI Division of Continuing Education cannot approve students for this funding, nor can we counsel you on your eligibility for these funds or what funding is available from your local One Stop Center for our certificate programs. You must contact your local One Stop Center.
