Fundraising Fundamentals

AFP® | Association of Fundraising ProfessionalsDeveloped in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Orange County Chapter

The Fundraising Fundamentals program consists of two courses: Strategic Donor Relations (The Art) and Philanthropic Leadership & Operations (The Science).

Together, the courses provide an integrated view of modern fundraising, combining donor engagement and relationship management with the strategy, systems, finance, and operations required to build a successful development program. Learners explore the complete donor lifecycle—from prospect identification and qualification through cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and gift management.

The program’s hybrid format is designed for working professionals and emphasizes practical skills that can be applied immediately in nonprofit and advancement settings.
