Family Law
An elective course in the Paralegal Certificate Program. Eligible participants will earn up to 30 hours of general MCLE credit based on attendance.
Examine legal issues affecting the family unit. Marriage, divorce, custody, support, the division of property and debts, and pre-nuptial agreements, paternity, adoption, domestic violence, guardianships, and domestic partnerships will be explored.

Synchronous sessions in the Paralegal programs are a vital part of the learning experience and are required to meet ABA standards. Students must attend at least three (3) synchronous sessions during the course to meet program requirements. All sessions are recorded and available for viewing, allowing learners to engage with the content at their convenience.
