Please note: Certification of enrollments for use with VA education benefits has been temporarily put on hold while the university is undergoing the application approval process with the California State Approving Agency for Veterans Education (CSAAVE). We will resume certifying enrollments once the approval process is completed. Thank you for your patience.
UCI Division of Continuing Education welcomes veterans. We are pleased to assist you in making a smooth transition from military life to that of a student. We are dedicated to providing you with the tools and services you need to succeed at UCI Division of Continuing Education. This website provides detailed information regarding procedures and requirements related to utilizing GI Bill® benefits to help you attain your educational goals. To further enhance your experience at UCI Division of Continuing Education, we have provided links and contact information for numerous resources that may be of benefit to you.
Eligible veterans can apply through the United States Department of Veteran Affairs in order to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility. Applications can be completed online at the Department of Veteran Affairs or by calling 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551).
Once you receive the Certificate of Eligibility from the VA, the UCI Division of Continuing Education Office of the Registrar VA Certifying Official will then submit your enrollment to the Regional Processing Office (RPO). The RPO will process benefits directly to the student.
College Fee Waiver
Under California law and University of California Policy, Cal-Vet College Fee Waiver benefits cannot be used towards UCI Division of Continuing Education programs or self-supporting UC programs. The Cal-Vet College Fee Waiver applies only to system wide tuition and fees charged for state supported UC programs.
