Membership

As a member, you are eligible to register for an unlimited number of courses, based upon space availability.

Also offered are a series of special events that frequently have a fee to cover transportation, ticket, and meal expenses (when applicable). As special events include a separate fee, you will need to make payment for each special event you register for in addition to the membership.

Memberships allow you to register for any courses in the OLLI catalog.

Scholarships: There are a limited number of need-based scholarships available to help offset membership fees. Please call (949) 451-1403 or email olli@uci.edu for more information.

Refunds: There are no refunds on membership fees. OLLI at UCI relies on income from membership fees to be sustainable. For this reason, we will continue to follow our long-term policy of not offering refunds on membership fees or transfers to future semesters. Thank you for your understanding.

Enrollment

Every effort will be made to accommodate your choices. Classes fill up quickly. You are most likely to get the courses you want the earlier you enroll, however, you may enroll anytime during the semester providing there is space in the course.

Courses

  • In order to enroll in any of the courses, you must first become an OLLI member.
  • Each member will need to enroll separately.
  • Your membership entitles you to enroll in unlimited courses.

Special Events

  • You do not need to be an OLLI member if you only enroll in Special Events.
  • There is no limit to the number of Special Event enrollments.
  • There may be a separate fee for a Special Event to be paid when you enroll.

Methods of Enrollment

Use either the Online Enrollment or the traditional enrollment process using the Membership/Enrollment form. In either case, it is best to first visit our Courses/Events page to determine which courses you would like to take.

Payments

Membership and course fees can be paid either by credit card or by check. Please make checks payable to UC Regents.

Confirmations

Retain a copy of the membership/enrollment documentation for your records. If you enroll online, you will receive an immediate email confirmation. For all other enrollments, a confirmation will be mailed to you.

Waitlists

If you enroll and you choose a course that has reached its maximum enrollment, you will automatically be placed on the waitlist for that course. Your confirmation will include both enrolled courses and waitlisted courses. You will not be automatically enrolled in your waitlisted courses if space becomes available. Waitlists are managed by the course facilitators. You will be notified by telephone or email as space becomes available. You are encouraged to follow up with the course facilitator. Dropping a Course

If, after enrolling in a course, you find that you cannot attend, please notify the course facilitator promptly so that your place in the class can be filled by the next person on the waiting list. Enrolling Online

If you enroll online, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of course registration as part of the online enrollment process.

  1. View Courses/Events page or refer to the OLLI catalog to choose courses before enrolling online. Pre-pick your courses because once you begin adding courses to your cart you will have 20 minutes to complete your transaction.
  2. If you are enrolling online for the first time, you will need to Create an Online Account.
  3. If you are a current or previous OLLI member, and have never created an online account, you will need your Reference ID #, also known as a Student ID #. This is a nine-digit number beginning with the number ‘0’ that can be found on a previous enrollment confirmation document in the upper right hand corner. If you still need assistance, contact Student Services at (949) 824-1010, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm (Pacific).
  4. You will also need your unique e-mail address, so if you have been sharing an e-mail address with a spouse, you will need to decide which one of you keeps that address and set up a new e-mail address for the other. For new members you will need to be prepared to enter your social security number and your unique e-mail address.
  5. Follow the directions for enrolling online until you receive your confirmation of enrollment. You may use VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS for payment.
  6. Begin by logging in.

Enrolling by Phone or Mail

If you choose to enroll using the Membership/Enrollment form and call or mail in your enrollment, confirmations will be mailed to you. Please call (949) 824-1010, DCE Student Services, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm (Pacific), if you have questions regarding the process.

Enrolling by Phone

  1. View Courses/Events page.
  2. Have your list of courses including Names and Course Numbers ready to give the Student Service representative. Have your credit card ready to make payment.
  3. Call Student Services at (949) 824-1010, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm (Pacific).

Enrolling by Mail

  1. Complete a Membership/Enrollment form.
  2. If paying by check, send a separate check for each person. Make check(s) payable to the UC Regents.
  3. Please send completed forms to:

Members Who Plan to Attend Online Only

For members who plan to attend courses online completely via Zoom, you may enroll in AH 100, OLLI ZOOM ONLY. This will allow the online registration system to recognize that you are becoming an OLLI member, but will attend courses remotely.

Otherwise, you may become a member and pay for membership via phone or mail. To pay by credit card, please call UCI Student Services at (949) 824-1010 to speak with an enrollment specialist, Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm. Or mail your check and completed Membership/Enrollment form to:

Special Event Refund/Cancellation Policy

  • Refunds for events and trips (less a $15 administrative fee) can be made ONLY if:
    • The trip is sold out.
    • The facilitator can find a replacement from the waitlist.
    • And, you cancel at least two weeks in advance.
  • OLLI reserves the right to cancel an event or trip at its discretion and, in that case, those enrolled will receive a full refund. Sorry, there are no refunds for UCI performances.
  • The price of the Special Events/Trips includes a contribution to OLLI at UCI.
  • UCI Drama performances and events $15 or less are not refundable.
