OLLI is privileged to have the opportunity to host a unique diplomat to share with us his knowledge and experience about one of the world's most turbulent regions, The Arab Gulf States. He is visiting California to address the Orange County World Affairs Council on March 28th, where his topic will be "Yemen; The War the World Ignores at its Peril". He will discuss this and other issues of the Middle East at this special OLLI class.
Presenter: Ambassador (ret.) Stephen Seche
Ambassador Stephen Seche is currently Executive Vice President of the Arab States Institute in Washington, DC. He has spent 35 years as a career U.S. Foreign Service officer. From 2011-2013 Seche served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Near East Affairs at the Department of State. He served as U.S. Ambassador to Yemen from 2007-2010. He has taught public diplomacy at University of Southern California (USC) and Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
