TENSIONS BETWEEN THE U.S., RUSSIA AND CHINA
TENSIONS BETWEEN THE U.S., RUSSIA AND CHINA
SS 308
Could current tensions between the United States, Russia, and China lead to a second Cold War? The three countries played key roles in the first Cold War, 1947-1991. When the Soviet Union disintegrated in the early 1990s, people were hopeful that a new era of friendship had begun. We will examine the first Cold War, and then ask why tensions in recent years could amount to a second Cold War.
