EVER WONDER “WHY” CERTAIN EVENTS HAPPEN? A discussion class on lifelong questions

Are you the curious type, always asking “Why?” to explain events and phenomena occurring around us? This discussion course will engage the group in discussing the issues below. For example, why have dictators come to power? Why and what political, economic, or social factors allowed this to happen? Attendees will be notified in advance via OLLI communication to prepare them for the week’s discussion topics.

November 6: Civilization: dictators, revolutions/rebellions, free press
November 13: The Economy: inflation, national debt, recession
November 20: Events in Our Current World: homelessness, immigration, injustice to women
