NASA CUBESAT PROGRAM IN ORANGE COUNTY SC
NASA CUBESAT PROGRAM IN ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS
SC 202
NASA’s CubeSat Launch Initiative provides access to space for small satellites, called nanosatellites or “CubeSats,” bearing payloads built by universities, high schools and non-profit organizations. These sophisticated devices are about four inches long and weigh about 3 pounds. Participating students gain hands-on experience in technology development, scientific research, and space exploration. We will learn about the Irvine CubeSat STEM Program (ICSP), which launched two high school student-created satellites into orbit in late 2018.
