DIRECTOR’S VOICE II:
The Effect
SE 407
Written by Lucy Prebble, this cynical romantic comedy takes place within the context of a Clinical Drug Trial. Tristan and Connie meet while participating in research on a new antidepressant drug. How can they know if their feelings are real or a side effect of the treatment? The Effect invites us to examine our relationships to the world, to each other and to ourselves.
