SS 304 The Supreme Court – The History of the Recent Top Cases

March 20: The Supreme Court and the Politics of Abortion. Now that the Dobbs case has overruled Roe and left decision-making up to the states, we will examine the status of abortion rights on a state-by-state basis.

March 27: We will look at the history of religion/free speech cases leading up to, but not including, the current term.

April 3: We will cover the history of other hot topics as we cover the key issues before the court.

Presenter: Fran Solmor, J.D., is well-known to OLLI audiences, having presented Supreme Court courses every year from 2006 – 2018. She practiced Trust, Estate, and Elder Law with the Law Office of Fay Blix in Laguna Hills for many years.
