Stem cells will revolutionize medical practice, heralding humankind’s next giant leap in disease prevention and treatment. The engineering of cellular function will address currently incurable diseases, brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, eye disorder, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and more. The UCI Stem Cell Research Center spans the schools of Medicine, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Arts, and Law. We will discuss what stem cells are, current clinical trials, and the exciting research work at UCI.
