PORTRAITURE PAINTING: A Window to the Soul
PORTRAITURE PAINTING
A Window to the Soul
AH 115 Class format A
Atmosphere and mystery are compelling components in telling a story about an artist’s subject, and skilled portrait painters are adept at creating both. Renowned artist Jeff Horn will describe this creative process with selected portraits from his acclaimed book, “In Our Eyes, In Our Words,” which won the Independent Publisher’s Book Award Gold Medal for Best Art Book 2019. He will discuss his experiences of drawing the homeless and documenting their individual stories. Jeff will also draw a charcoal portrait of an OLLI attendee.
