THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF WATERCOLOR PAINTING

This beautifully illustrated presentation will detail the fascinating evolution of watercolor painting, from finding of evidence of water-based paint in ancient cave paintings to the remarkable works of the 1925 California watercolor style to the present. Also discussed will be the many forms of water-based media, including gouache and tempura, with numerous historical examples.
