LIVING WELL: RECENT ADVANCES IN PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DISEASE MANAGEMENT

SC 207 LIVING WELL: RECENT ADVANCES IN PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DISEASE MANAGEMENT

Pain in your legs at various levels of exercise from at rest, to walking up stairs, or hiking a steep incline might be due to peripheral vascular disease, or blockages in the arteries. Vascular surgeons can offer non-invasive, minimally invasive, even up to open surgical options to improve blood flow to the muscles of the leg or the foot. We will discuss the disease process, who is at risk, and what treatment options might be available.

Presenter: Samuel L. Chen, M.D., RPVI, is a Vascular Surgeon at UC Irvine Health and an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the UC Irvine School of Medicine.
