MODERN ART DEMYSTIFIED
AH 106
Modern art remains an enigma for many people. This presentation will help to further the understanding of modernist trends, which many art historians believe began in the mid-19th century and were rooted in an awareness and comprehension of nature. The discussion will begin with well-known Impressionists such as Monet, Cezanne, and Van Gogh and conclude with 20th century notables Rothko, Pollack and de Kooning.
