Course Description
The course focuses on how you can make financial decisions that will have impact within the organization as well as how to affect the profitability of your unit or organization. In this course, you will learn finance and accounting concepts that drive your organization's growth. Upon completion of this course, you will have improved general financial knowledge and an in-depth understanding of how your decisions can impact numbers outside your functional area. Content of the course includes selected aspects of finance from a non-financial specialist perspective. Specific topics include: financial analysis; planning, forecasting, and budgeting; cash flow, and strategic financing. This class will be interactive and will require your involvement in finance related activities.
NOTE: This course may have optional, live sessions via Zoom. The sessions will be recorded and posted for students who are not able to attend. The Zoom meeting link and password to join will be provided in your course. A device with audio and visual will be needed to participate. The following student guide provides additional resources/information on how to use and access your courses Zoom sessions.
Instructor
Marla J. Noel, MBA, CPA, is President and CEO of OC Growth Advisors. She works with companies, from start-ups to $50 million in revenue, assisting with Business Plans, Staff Development, Strategic Planning for growth and Culture Development. Marla also has prior experience as an adjunct professor at Chapman University and experience running several successful businesses. She obtained her MBA from Chapman University and was inducted into the National Business Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
