Survey of Personal Financial Planning
A required course in the Certificate Program in Personal Financial Planning .
Course Description
Learn the fundamental principles of comprehensive personal financial planning. The concepts of cash flow, college funding, insurance, taxation, investment analysis, employment benefits, retirement, estate planning, industry regulations, professional standards, the business cycle and monetary and fiscal policies will be explored.
Early registration recommended. This course is required to sit for the CFP Examination.
You may access your online course on the first day of class by 12pm (noon) Pacific Standard Time. This online course may include webinars using an online conferencing tool called Zoom. All webinars will be recorded and posted on the course website for those who cannot participate in the live sessions.
Required prerequisite: MGMT X433.20, Principles of Financial Analysis or equivalent experience, which may be taken concurrently with the Survey of Personal Financial Planning. Essential background: A functional knowledge of mathematical techniques for financial decision-making and some basic concepts of economics.

website or by calling (888) 295-6023. Do not purchase a used book. Only new books will have the unused access code for the online resources. The HP-12C or HP-10BII calculator is required.
