Predictive Analytics: Tools & Techniques

A required course in the Data Analytics for Business Certificate Program.

Course Description

This hands-on course provides critical skills needed to drive business decisions using predictions made from using historical data. Students will be introduced to key tools used in predictive analytics and how to evaluate the right tool in order to translate business problems into predictive analytics problems; select, explore, and integrate data; uncover new relationships among the data; and deploy the model on new data. At the end of the course, students will be able to use these predictive analytics tools and models to make reliable business relevant predictions to drive business decisions. Prerequisite(s): I&C SCI X425.90 Introduction to Analyzing Data for Business Goals
