Technology Practicum for the Paralegal

A required course in the Paralegal Certificate Program.

Course Description

Examine popular software programs and practice the technical skills needed to succeed as a paralegal. Spreadsheets, court forms, timesheets, case management software, document assembly software, and other tools commonly used in the legal environment will be explored.

Enroll a week before the course starts to ensure student logins are created for Technology Practicum programs. Completion of Fundamentals the Paralegal Profession, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Contracts, Ethics, and Civil Litigation I and Civil Litigation II recommended prior to enrolling in this course.

Instructor


Chontte R. Clarkson, is a Strategic Client Solutions Manager but brings with her 13 years of being a litigation paralegal and 7 years as a project manager for eDiscovery companies. She has extensive experience in assisting with cases dealing with government agencies such as the Department of Justice, the Security Exchange Commission and the Federal Trade Commission. She created a litigation support department to bring the processing of E-Discovery in house.
