Course Description
Gain a broad understanding of business contracts, learning the basics of what it takes to procure, negotiate and administer contracts that are binding. Understand how to ensure the success of the contract by acquiring an insider's view of contract administration, negotiation, and financial analysis, while learning how to select the most appropriate type of contract and understand business contract principles. Explain the specific language and terms used in business contracts, the elements of a business contract, the bodies of law that govern business contracts, the various contract types available and how used, the life cycle of a contract from determination of the need to close-out.

Instructor
John Sarakatsannis has 30 years of project management and contracting experience in both government and the aerospace industry. He has held numerous positions in large supply chain organizations such as Boeing, Northrup Grumman, and Raytheon. During his Air Force career he managed several multi-billion dollar aircraft and space projects, and has extensive international experience managing foreign military sales programs. His professional certifications include: Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM), Project Manager Professional (PMP), and is a National Contract Management Association "Fellow". His academic accomplishments include, MS and MBA degrees.
