Leading Successful Organizational Change

Course Description
Managing change in an organization is a dynamic process. Effective change maximizes the alignment between an organization's strategies, structure, systems and culture. It requires an understanding of the systemic interrelationships among these factors and how changes in one can affect another. This course focuses on planning and implementing change in organizations, with an emphasis on the role of leadership within an organization. Participants examine the role of leadership and the competencies and skills required of individuals who initiate, manage, and are affected by change.
NOTE: This course may have optional, live sessions via Zoom. The sessions will be recorded and posted for students who are not able to attend. The Zoom meeting link and password to join will be provided in your course. A device with audio and visual will be needed to participate. Instructor
Bernice Gonzalez, SPHR, is the Vice President of Human Resources for Orange County’s Credit Union. She has held various HR leadership roles and has worked with award winning organizations including First American Financial Corporation, Morgan Stanley and Capital Group Companies. She has over twenty years of diverse HR expertise in public and private sectors and has applied highly successful HR strategies within organizations spanning from early stage start-ups to Fortune 100 and 500 companies. Her experience includes leading corporate mergers and acquisitions, large-scale reorganizations, change management programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives and organizational development and leadership succession programs.
