Designing and Developing Interactive E-Learning Courses

A required course in the E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate Program. We highly recommend students complete EDUC_X416.18 Principles of E-Learning Instructional Design and EDUC_X417 Exploring E-Learning Development Tools prior to enrolling in this course. Before starting this course, students must purchase or otherwise have access to an authoring tool like Articulate 360 or other comparable tool.

Interactive e-learning has been considered a must in developing e-learning programs. This course teaches students the different types of interactive designs and provides learners the hands-on experience and the step-by-step process of interactive eLearning implementation. The course will help participants apply different models of interactive e-learning designs, with specific emphasis on the utilization of gamification, badging, credentialing, social learning, community development, and other cutting edge interactive eLearning approaches. This course will also discuss the role of usability and user testing in developing more complex interactive e-learning experiences.
