Commercial Contracting Fundamentals

Course Description

Many business roles are tasked with negotiating, drafting, and performing commercial contracts, but often, individuals in those roles lack formal legal training and knowledge of commercial legal principles to do that work effectively, thus running the risk of setting their organization up for liability.

This course addresses fundamentals of commercial contract law, the contract lifecycle, commercial contracts clauses, and associated risks. As a result of this course, you will have a better understanding of what you can do to ensure a smooth commercial contracting process and how to avoid common commercial contracting pitfalls and litigation.

Successful completion of a qualifying assignment in this course offers you the opportunity to earn an Alternative Digital Credential (ADC) in Commercial Contract Clause Drafting.
