Methods of TESOL

This is a required course in the TESOL certificate program.

This course is designed to introduce participants to the methods used to teach English as a second or foreign language. Course participants will learn how to prepare lesson plans and will also explore the significance of varied learning modalities in the development of effective lessons. Participants will be presented with principles and strategies for teaching English language skills and will create and share 2 lesson plans with their classmates. Another important component of this course will be the opportunity for participants to observe and reflect on the methods used in ESL/EFL classes.
