Introduction to the role of accounting in making management decisions. Topics covered include planning, costing, budgeting, and analysis of business performance.
Early registration recommended. You may access your online course on the first day of class by 12pm (noon) Pacific Standard Time. This course may use live sessions via Zoom. A device with audio and visual will be needed to participate. The following student guide provides additional resources/information on how to use and access your courses Zoom sessions. This course cannot be transferred to a UCI economics major.
Richard Kim, CPA, is a Managing Director for the regional accounting firm, Elison Consulting. He has more than a decade of public accounting and finance experience, and has worked with hundreds of clients ranging from local households to global corporations. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the University of Southern California. He has been teaching Finance and Accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels since 2011. He brings real-world work experiences into the classroom and loves to inspire others through teaching.
