Course Description

This course provides participants with the opportunity to apply the tools, techniques and practices for quality improvement and cost reduction acquired in the previous required courses in the green belt program to an actual project. The participants will be able to show quantifiable benefits that align with the goals of the project charter they had selected and worked on throughout the program. Participants will demonstrate how they applied the Lean and Six Sigma tools to accomplish the goals of their project charter, and will present the completed project.

Prerequisite: MGMT X410.28 Lean Six Sigma Philosophy and Project Selection. This course should be taken last, after all three required Green Belt courses have been successfully completed.

Instructor


Scott Thor, D.Mgt., M.B.A., is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt with Variance Reduction International and has more than 20 years of experience working at multiple organizational levels ranging from engineer to vice president. Dr. Thor provides support to clients with Lean Six Sigma program development and implementation in both the service and manufacturing industry. Dr. Thor's teaching and mentoring of Lean Six Sigma belts, champions and sponsors have resulted in more than $20 million in savings.
