This course is based on a communicative and task-supported curriculum that helps students develop basic skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) in Spanish to engage in interpretive, interpersonal and presentational modes of communication. Students are also exposed to products and practices of Spanish-speaking countries and Latino communities in the United States.
This is a lower division course. Students may transfer the credit to UCI or any other university. Please be sure to check with that university first to confirm the transfer of credit.This online course may include live webinars using an online meeting software called Zoom. The dates of these webinars would be determined during the first week of class. All webinars will be recorded and posted on the course website for those who cannot participate in the live sessions

Blanca Garcia has her bachelors in Spanish and is a Ph.D. candidate at UCI. She has worked for the past four years teaching at the university level under Dr. Torres, Assistant Professor of Spanish and Portuguese and Director of the Spanish Language Program.
