This course will help you build management and leadership capabilities though a study of behavioral theories, examination of business acumen and strategy, and the use of a framework to decode the roles of the manager. Throughout the course, you will gain experience with the professional and personal skills needed to inspire action and demonstrate managerial and leadership effectiveness.

Janet Randolph is a business advisor and global HR leader, having served in HR and executive leadership roles for over 20 years. She has built HR departments, developed HR strategies aligned with business goals, designed, and delivered on global talent management initiatives and led organizational change. She has held executive roles with Telogis, HireRight, IBM, FileNet, Epicor Software and Johnson & Johnson. Ms. Randolph serves on the UCI Division of Continuing Education HR Advisory Board and was recognized as a Distinguished Instructor in 2020. In the community, she is a leadership volunteer for the non-profit Youth Employment Service (YES), serving as its Board President from 2016 to 2018. She is also a Past President of, and active volunteer for the Orange County affiliate of the National Human Resources Association.
