Course Description

Increase your knowledge of the system design and integration phases associated with the systems engineering process. Learn about design decision analysis based on requirements, interface management across in-house disciplines, supplier and customer. An emphasis is place on design management and integration methods such as risk management, Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS), Work Breakdown Structure, Technical Performance Measurement (TPM), and technical reviews/audits for measuring, tracking and validating the systems design and integration process.

Instructor


John C. Hsu, Ph.D., M.S., PE, implemented the first break-through systems engineering application for the Boeing/Airlift And Tanker Program. He is the pioneer in developing and establishing systems engineering process, metrics, templates, methods, and tools. He is an instructor at the Boeing Company, the University of California Irvine, Division of Continuing Education, and a professor at the California State University at Long Beach. He is currently a senior manager and has worked at The Boeing Company as Technical Manager, Project Manager and Principal Investigator with 30 years of experience in a wide variety of engineering disciplines, software and management.
