Human Services Management Essentials

A standalone non-certificate course.

Course Description

The increase in consumer needs and the shortage of highly-trained human services professionals has resulted in a demand for effective managers and leaders. This course is for professionals seeking a deeper understanding of the organizational challenges administrators face and the professional skills needed to be an effective human services manager. Students will have the opportunity to assess their management skills and acquire the necessary knowledge to prepare for the transition from direct service worker to a management role. This course is ideal for those pursuing the advancement of a supervisor, manager, or director role in the human services field.

This online course may include live webinars using an online meeting software called Zoom. The dates of these webinars would be determined during the first week of class. All webinars will be recorded and posted on the course website for those who cannot participate in the live sessions.
