Preventative Health Practices for Early Childhood Education

This course covers the areas of preventative health practices required to be taken one time by AB243 for early childhood educators. Areas of instruction include: infectious disease and immunizations; and prevention of childhood injuries, sanitary food handling, child nutrition, emergency preparedness and evacuation, caring for children with special needs, and identification and reporting of signs and symptoms of child abuse.
