Course Description

Gain a fundamental understanding of predictive model deployment. Connections between business objectives of the predictive models and how the models are used operationally will be explored. Additionally, this course will explain pros and cons of different deployment strategies such as using the predictive modeling software, source code, or the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML). The course will also explain how to monitor and maintain predictive models and plan for future model updating. Prerequisites: I&C SCI X425.63 Effective Data Preparation and I&C SCI X425.64 Algorithms, Modeling Methods, Verification and Validation.

Keith McCormick, B.S, is a career long practitioner of predictive analytics and data science. He has a particular expertise in helping organizations perform their first predictive analytics project or build their first predictive analytics practice, and has done so in a variety of industries including healthcare, banking, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and retail. Keith is also an established author with four books in print or under contract. Keith is especially well known in the IBM SPSS Statistics and IBM SPSS Modeler communities.
