E-Learning Instructional Design Practicum

The final required course in the E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate Program.

This capstone course gives students the opportunity to exhibit their knowledge, skills and creativity related to e-learning instructional design. Students demonstrate their ability to integrate design principles and skills by applying them to real-world projects. Students will be expected to create an e-learning module from beginning to end: designing, developing, publishing, and uploading to a test LMS. Through development of an actual e-learning lesson, the practicum allows students to experience the practical application of the topics they have learned in the prerequisite courses. Software/Technical Requirements: In the Practicum, you will be required to develop and deliver an actual lesson using an e-learning development tool. Prior to enrolling in the Practicum, students must purchase or otherwise have access to an authoring tool such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, or other comparable authoring tool. Students must also have working knowledge of the tool prior to enrollment in the Practicum. Students should be proficient navigating the software to develop an e-learning lesson using the tool.

Prerequisite: Students must have completed all other required courses prior to registering for the Practicum course. Before starting this course, students must purchase or otherwise have access to an authoring tool like Articulate 360 or other comparable tool. Please see software/technical requirements in course description.
