Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA)

Overview

The TAA is a program of the United States Department of Labor that provides a variety of reemployment services and benefits to workers who have lost their jobs or suffered a reduction of hours and wages as a result of increased imports or shifts in production outside the United States.

Eligible individuals can have the entire cost of a UCI Division of Continuing Education program fully funded via the TAA program. To determine your eligibility, visit the EDD website.

What UC Irvine programs can I pursue via TAA funding?

All of our programs are TAA eligible. It will be up to your TAA caseworker to approve your eligibility for TAA and to approve your program choice. View a list of all UC Irvine certificate programs.

Where can I go to discover whether I am eligible for TAA funding?

Your local Educational Development Department (EDD) or Orange County One Stop Center will often have a TAA specialist working in the facility. Find your closest EDD location.
