Where is the "Profit" in Non Profits?

 Monday, December 3, 2018
 11:00AM - 12:00PM

A nonprofit exists to serve - but it is still a business. A nonprofit is a business whose "profit" is in service, people, or programs, not shareholders or dividends. If run in a business-like fashion, there are more resources to fulfill the mission of the nonprofit. If poorly run, services dwindle, people suffer, and ultimately, the cause fails. Utilizing standard business practice in the NGO world realizes on the combination of heart and head. Please join UCI Division of Continuing Education in welcoming Jim McAleer, Chief Executive Officer for Alzheimer's Orange County, as he presents the importance of ROI, how to "fully load" programs to establish that ROI, how to look at donors as investors, and why staff management is one of the keys to success or failure. The webinar will also include pre-registration advisement for individuals interested in UCI DCE’s fully online Nonprofit Management Specialized Studies Program.
