Client Persuasion or Manipulation?

What is persuasion? What is manipulation? When does persuasion become manipulation? Join us for a special presentation to discuss the techniques to avoid manipulating financial planning clients and actions in client persuasion in financial planning.
Speaker: Jeffrey W. Lang Sr., Ph.D. Candidate, CFP®, MSM®, MSFS®, CLF®, CRPC®, CLU®, a published author, is the Director of Supervision of the Southeast Division and a financial planner with Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp., a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer. Active in the financial services industry since 1976, he holds insurance licenses, including those for life, health, and annuities, with Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, as well as other highly rated companies associated with LFA. He is also registered as a General Securities Principal and has had additional training in mergers and acquisitions for small to medium size businesses. He has been a member of the adjunct faculty for professional studies for the CFP® program at the University of Baltimore and Villa Julie College. He frequently lectures at The American College, The University of Maryland, and The University of Baltimore, as well as for professional associations, on topics such as management, leadership, ethics, and general financial planning. Jeffrey is also an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Maryland; currently he serves on the Membership Advisory Group of the National FPA.
