After viewing the short documentary film, "And Then They Came for Us," Sam Mihara will describe the events leading to, and life for, Japanese American citizens interned at Heart Mountain, WY during World War II. He will discuss the legacy that we too easily forget. He has also studied the current detention of immigrant families across the country and will discuss his findings.
Presenter: Sam Mihara,
had a career as a rocket scientist with Boeing and has lectured to more than 50,000 people. He is now a visiting lecturer at U.C. Berkeley, UCLA and Harvard and has also published his memoir, The Life and Times of Sam Mihara. (available for sale).
