Activities in space are governed by the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, when only two nations – the Soviet Union and the U.S. – had space capabilities. Today there are many nations with these capabilities. This presentation will provide technical details of the Outer Space Treaty and provide insight into its limitations, especially regarding military use and exploitation of the Moon, Mars, and asteroids.
