November 5: Finding Exoplanets and Detecting Life
Presenter: Professor Paul Robertson,
UCI Physics and Astronomy. Over the past 20 years, astronomers have discovered thousands of planets orbiting nearby stars. Professor Robertson will discuss methods of detecting exoplanets, the Galactic exoplanet census, and methods of searching for signs of life on them.

November 12: Conditions for Life on Exoplanets
Presenter by Video, Professor Aomawa Shields,
UCI Physics and Astronomy.
Professor Shields analyzes the many factors required for a planet to support life, including climate model simulations.
