CASES BEFORE THE US SUPREME COURT 2020-2022
CASES BEFORE THE US SUPREME COURT 2020-2022:
What They May Mean for Us
SS 317
Format B
During the 2020-2022 Supreme Court term the Court decided cases involving the exercise of religion, ACA (Obamacare), voting rights and union organization, among others. In the current term the Court will consider some highly volatile controversies including abortion, gun rights, the preeminence of state regulation over religious practices, and free speech. In this class we will discuss the facts of the case, briefly examine the arguments of counsel and apolitically review the decisions, if rendered, and allow time for class discussion and comment.
