Sound and space reflect people’s perception of their world, both western and non-western. This course involves listening to various musical selections and viewing architectural spaces, both secular and religious. How do they reflect the historical context of their era? What values and concerns currently shape our space and music?

Presenter: Karen Linkletter, Ph.D., American History, retired Cal State Fullerton American Studies Department. Karen is the Research Director of the Management as a Liberal Art Research Institute, as well as a cellist who teaches and plays professionally.
