Dr. Magnus Egerstedt, Dean of UCI’s Samueli School of
Engineering, will introduce the science of robotics and discuss its role in environmental monitoring. Dr. Egerstedt is a popular speaker on the subject both internationally and in the local community. In a subsequent presentation Vern Roohk, PhD, will reprise and update a 2017 OLLI presentation on Biomedical Robotics, including everything from AI to the pros and cons of “robotic surgery.”
