Complementary and integrative health, health restoration, health promotion, resilience, and whole person health, what do these terms really mean? How can a better understanding of these concepts impact your health and well-being? We will explore these concepts as well as some of the initiatives that the NCCIH, part of the National Institutes of Health, is developing to answer key questions about the fundamental mechanisms, effectiveness, and safety of complementary and integrative health approaches, and their roles in improving health and health care.
