Local artist Suzanne Currie was born in London and grew up in Sierra Leone, Kenya, and South Africa. Her aesthetic reflects a life lived in multiple and diverse milieus, where imagination, discovery, and flexibility have served her well. She attended the Royal School of Ballet in London and then danced and taught for many years.

Suzanne later pursued a career in art and has experimented with many mediums and contents. She had devoted herself to painting since 1990. Her current work explores the intersection of form, color, and design in a mixed media collage. Using playful shapes and vibrant colors, there is a casual order to the imagery that contains an exuberant energy and child-like sophistication.

The resultant work simply dazzles and we will be able to view hung examples of her labor in the Chemers Gallery, where she will demonstrate her process to us and where we will also have an opportunity to explore the genre of collage ourselves.

NOTE: Enrollment is limited to 35 registered participants

is an artist living in Southern California with work shown in galleries locally and abroad, boutiques, restaurants in and around Southern California, as decorative furnishings on walls and furniture, and now on jewelry and other trinkets.

Enderle Center is east of the 55 Freeway, south of the 22 Freeway, and north of Irvine Boulevard between Yorba and Enderle streets on 17th St. Chemers is toward the west end of the complex. Parking is free.
