GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY: CENTERED IN THE UNIVERSE

We will visit the Griffith Observatory where we will take a journey from the historical views of an Earth-centered universe to Galileo’s sun-centered universe to the current view of the universe as a live lecturer takes us through the story with a state-of-the-art technology dome projection. We will visit their exhibits including a Tesla coil and the Wilder Hall of the Eye illustrating the progress of human observation of the sky.
Lunch is on your own at the museum’s Café at the End of the Universe where casual fare is available.

$70 per person (includes bus, Planetarium show admission, and bus driver’s tip).
Bus departs from the Lakeview Senior Center 10AM (see map at the back of the catalog). Please arrive by 9:45 AM with your UCI Waiver Release and Emergency Contact forms (available at www.olliuci.wordpress.com under Facilitator Center).
