The Beckman Laser Institute (BLI) is one of five charter centers established by the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation. More than 200 scientists, physicians, staff, and students engage in basic and applied research in lasers, optics, biology and medicine. BLI played a major role in the creation of Biomedical Optics and Biophotonics. Dr. Bruce Tromberg will give us a glimpse of some of the exciting activities and a tour at BLI on the UCI campus.
