UNDERSTANDING U.S. IMMIGRATION LAW
SS 306

Many avenues are open for non-citizens to legally enter and remain in the United States. Many of these options are subject to stringent and sometimes confusing conditions, which, if ignored, can lead to detrimental consequences, including deportation. This course is designed to give you an overview of major U.S. visa programs, including how applicants are processed and approved, the penalties for non-compliance, and the legal framework governing this area of the law, including recent court decisions by lower courts as well as the Supreme Court.
